Individual Support
Strood Community Project offers individualised support to Strood residents.
Whatever the issue – welfare benefits, health, skills, parenting, debt, employability – trained and qualified staff are here to listen and provide help, either at St Francis Church, Galahad Avenue (ME2 2YS) or St Nicholas Church (ME2 4TR). With professional assistance often necessary our advisors are able to refer to local experts who can provide the best help.
The Project delivers a dynamic programme of training courses to Strood residents. Many of these courses are FREE OF CHARGE for those not in work or claiming means tested welfare benefits. If you are working you may still participate but charges will apply.
Propagating Community Action
Strood Community Project believes in fostering activity at the grass roots.
Since Spring of 2007 Strood Gardening Club has come into being thanks to fundraising support offered by the Project. Once the seedcorn funding was obtained the Club has taken off.
Strood Walking Group is a newer venture offering monthly 3-5 mile walks to any Strood resident. Walking is healthy, fun and very sociable.
