Strood Community Project provides a dynamic programme of training courses to Strood residents. Many of these courses are FREE OF CHARGE for those not in work or claiming means tested welfare benefits. If you are working you may still participate but charges will apply.
Current Courses:
Next CLAIT Computer Course Courses starting January, 2010. Childcare is available for daytime courses. Pre-course training is available for those with minimal computer knowledge. NOTE – We are arranging courses as fast as finances allow but due to the high level of demand it is likely that you will be entered onto our course waiting list. Register now to reserve your place.
- Computer Training Computer skills training. For complete beginners through to accredited courses for the workplace. From January 2010.
- Food_Safety Level 2. The qualification if you prepare/serve food (no cooking). Childcare Available
- Computer Building for Beginners - Learn how to fix your PC on this hands-on course. ur place. This course is not funded. Course cost: £50
- English and Maths - Sharpen up your skills. English: Thursdays 9.15am to 11.00am. Maths Fridays, 10.30am - 12.30pm Childcare available.
- Paediatric First Aid - Learn how to deal with incidents in the home or garden with this 2 hour course. Childcare Available. Ring for details of next course.
- First Aid- One day accreditted first Aid course. Ring for details of next course.
- Parenting Teenagers - Learn how to turn a problem into a friend. £6.50 for the really useful course book which you get to keep.
- NQV Level 1&2 in Administration - The way to progress your office-based career at either entry or higher level. NOTE – this training opportunity is in very high demand. Register now to secure your place in our waiting list.
